Types of Manuscripts

Technomedia Journal (TMJ) welcomes original scholarly manuscripts addressing the integration of strategic management, technological innovation, and sustainable digital business development. The journal provides an academic platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to contribute theoretical insights, empirical evidence, and practical solutions to challenges in the digital economy. Submissions must align with the journal's aims and scope and demonstrate a clear contribution to digital transformation, technology-driven innovation, digital business models, sustainability, or strategic management education.

1. Original Research Articles

Full-length articles presenting original empirical or theoretical research related to strategic management, digital transformation, technological innovation, and digital business development. Manuscripts should clearly explain the research problem, objectives, theoretical foundations, methodology, findings, and contributions to existing knowledge.

Research may employ quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches. Studies should demonstrate methodological rigor, analytical depth, and a clear explanation of their theoretical and practical implications. Particular attention is given to research exploring organizational performance, digital leadership, emerging technologies, business innovation, and sustainable digital strategies.

2. Case Study Articles

Articles providing an in-depth examination of organizational practices, technological implementations, or strategic management initiatives within real-world business and institutional environments. Manuscripts should identify the challenges addressed, organizational context, intervention or management strategies, analytical methods, outcomes, and lessons learned.

Case studies may examine digital transformation initiatives, technology adoption, innovative business models, organizational leadership, or sustainability practices. Submissions should provide evidence-based analysis and transferable insights while acknowledging contextual limitations and implications for management practices.

3. Technology Innovation and Applied Research Articles

Articles presenting the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative technologies, digital applications, information systems, or technology-enabled business solutions. Manuscripts should explain the technological or managerial problems addressed, proposed solutions, development methods, implementation processes, and evaluation results.

Relevant contributions may include artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, blockchain, business intelligence, digital platforms, automation, and other emerging technologies supporting organizational innovation and strategic decision-making. Technical contributions must be accompanied by evidence of effectiveness, usability, organizational value, or practical implications for digital business and management.

4. Review Articles

Articles critically synthesizing existing scholarly literature on strategic management, digital transformation, technology innovation, digital business models, and sustainability. Reviews may employ systematic literature review, bibliometric analysis, scoping review, or other clearly defined and academically rigorous review methodologies.

Manuscripts should establish a clear review objective, describe the literature identification and selection process, critically evaluate relevant studies, and identify research trends, theoretical developments, knowledge gaps, and future research directions. Review articles should provide an original synthesis rather than merely summarizing previously published research.

5. Mini-Reviews and Scholarly Commentaries

Concise scholarly articles presenting focused critical analyses, emerging research perspectives, or evidence-informed discussions of contemporary developments in digital business and technology-driven strategic management.

Mini-reviews should synthesize a clearly defined body of recent literature and identify significant developments, unresolved issues, or research opportunities. Scholarly commentaries may critically examine emerging technologies, digital transformation policies, managerial challenges, business innovation, or sustainability strategies.

Submissions must be supported by credible scholarly evidence, present a clear academic argument, and offer meaningful implications for researchers, practitioners, or policymakers. Personal opinions, promotional discussions, and unsupported claims are not considered sufficient scholarly contributions.

General Submission Requirements

All manuscript types must comply with the journal's Author Guidelines, official article template, and Publication Ethics policies. Submissions must be original, must not have been previously published, and must not be under consideration by another journal.

Manuscripts should be prepared primarily in Indonesian, consistent with TMJ's language policy, while maintaining internationally recognized standards of academic writing, research integrity, and scholarly communication. Authors must ensure clarity, consistency, methodological transparency, and proper citation of relevant academic literature.

Authors are expected to demonstrate the novelty and significance of their work, provide sufficient methodological and analytical evidence, and clearly explain the contribution of their findings to strategic management, technological innovation, or digital business development. Where applicable, manuscripts should include managerial implications that translate research findings into actionable recommendations for organizational leaders, business practitioners, and policymakers.

TMJ encourages authors to discuss the relevance of their research to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), where supported by the research objectives and findings.

All authors must appropriately acknowledge research contributions, funding sources, and institutional support; disclose potential conflicts of interest; and report ethical approval and participant consent where applicable. The use of generative artificial intelligence or AI-assisted technologies must comply with TMJ's Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Policy, including transparency and disclosure requirements when applicable.

Submissions should demonstrate academic originality, analytical rigor, and relevance to the journal's focus and scope. Manuscripts consisting solely of descriptive reports, promotional content, unsupported opinions, or technical documentation without scholarly analysis and meaningful contributions fall outside the intended manuscript categories.

All manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening and, where appropriate, a double-blind peer-review process in accordance with TMJ's editorial policies. Publication decisions are based on relevance to the journal's scope, originality, methodological quality, research integrity, clarity of presentation, and contributions to scholarly knowledge and professional practice.
